In addition to being Owner & President of MR Davidson since 2001, I have over 25 years experience occupying senior level positions in manufacturing companies. Positions served include: Chairman of Board - Thixotech, President/CEO of Bertram Yacht, Group President for Dura Automotive, Divisional President at ITT Automotive and Divisional Sales Manager at General Motors, Delco Remy Division.
Functional experience includes multiple positions in manufacturing, sales & engineering. Assignments encompassed global responsibility including assignments in Germany & England.
As you can gather from the above summary, I believe my experiences and those from the other associates at MR Davidson will allow us to understand your needs and business concerns.

Being in the Glass and Glazing Industry since 1985, I have had opportunities to experience the industry from all sides. I have worked for glazing sub-contractors as an Estimator and/or Project Manager working on low to high-rise projects. For five years, I was Managing Partner in a small glass business. I was also elected and served for one year on the Board of Directors, North Carolina Chapter of the National Glass Association.
I have also had opportunities working for three of the largest architectural aluminum manufacturers in the world; United States Aluminum Corporation, Kawneer Company and YKK Architectural Products. My experience with these three manufactures involves Inside Sales/Customer Service, Project Management and Estimating. I have also worked closely with other suppliers to the industry including glass, windows, sealants, doors, hardware, estimating software, skylights and aluminum panels.
With my eclectic background in the glass and glazing industry, I can appreciate and identify with your wants and needs. My passion for helping people combined with my experiences in Social Services, Restaurant Management and Real Estate led me to the Account Executive position at Management Recruiters of Davidson – Building Products/ Power Systems Division. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a BS in Social Work; I worked with families and teens in crisis. Later, I gained valuable experience from successful restaurant management while also pursuing a real estate career as part of one of the most successful real estate teams in the Charlotte area (Top 100 in USA @ $73Million/yr.). In 2001, I formed my own rental company, Esther Jane Investments (named after my grandmother) where I owned, managed, and rented multiple properties throughout the Charlotte area. The ties made with a variety of Building Product professionals from this venture, combined with MR Davidson’s 9 years networking in Building Products have ideally positioned me to serve the Building Products and Power Systems Industries for Recruiting & Search.
I work closely with manufacturers, fabricators, distributors, contractors, management, & human resources providing the best fit for positions in management, sales, project management/estimating, operations, design and all engineering/technical positions. Examples of products include building products, kitchen & bath, cabinets, countertops, sinks, tubs, toilets, showers, faucets, fixtures, lawn & garden, lighting, tile, windows, doors, power generation/engines, plastics, metals, aluminum, HVAC, air and water filtration, etc.

I came to MR Davidson following 7 years of Management with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. I graduated with a BS in Hospitality Management from East Carolina University and bring this knowledge and my experiences from Hyatt to the position of Office Manager at MR Davidson.
